Mission Healthcare at Bellevue is hiring a full-time Maintenance/Plant Director for their skilled nursing facility.
- $72,800 - $79,040 / salaried position
- Must be willing to take on facility emergencies last minute
- Prior experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facility is preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation
Position Overview
The purpose of this position is to develop and implement plant maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping policies and procedures in an efficient, cost-effective manner in order to safely meet patient needs in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Dispense equipment and supplies in a cost-effective manner.
- Identify, report to administration, and schedule repair of areas in poor repair.
- Maintain material safety data sheets (MSDS)/safety data sheets (SDS).
- Supervise waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
- Observe infection control procedures related to the maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping departments.
- Organize and maintain all records necessary to operate the maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping departments.
- Orient new employees to specific departmental duties.
- Coordinate daily maintenance services with the nursing supervisor when performing maintenance assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
- Develop and implement repair and maintenance schedules for all areas of the facility and grounds.
- Enter information and maintain all required logs in a neat, organized, and timely manner.
- Supervise schedules for repair and maintenance by contractors.
- Interview and hire appropriate individuals to implement schedules
- Perform maintenance and repair procedures in accordance with facility policy.
- Attend in-service training programs for maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping staff as assigned.
- Identify, report to administration, and schedule repair of any equipment malfunction.
- Supervise the maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping procedures in accordance with facility policy.
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum One (1) years experience in staff management and scheduling preferred
- Minimum Two (2) years in a maintenance position preferred

- Must be capable of making mature judgments, be dependable, and possess knowledge of safety and safe sanitation practices.
- Employee resource management knowledge.
- Capable of meeting all requirements that may be specified by the state or other regulatory agencies.
- Knowledge of plant operations, federal and state regulations
- Certified in First Aid and CPR
- Must possess the ability to read, write and speak English
- Possess excellent oral, written, and telephone skills.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- You must be able to work on your feet for eight hours a day, five days a week
