Background & Purpose of the Job

Unilever is in the midst of a project designed to reset the North American supply chain to be future fit. The new network is intended to support >4% annual growth through 2024 by optimizing the manufacturing and distribution networks, be agile and responsive, reduce cost to serve and planet positive. Each Business Unit will have dedicated work streams to support this Business Group transformation. The Project Coordinator for Logistics will be responsible to oversee the design, manufacture, operational set up and startup of a new Distribution Center within the North America Business Group.

Project Coordinator responsibilities:

You’re a born leader: You provide strategic, technical, and process leadership for the execution of the business unit’s work streams through the facilitation and coordination of cross functional teams, bring best in class design, out of the box thinking, agile technology and cost-effective solutions, collaborating locally and globally to achieve these objectives. You have strong passion for thought leadership, bias for action and people development to drive technical and team’s performance. You strategically influence peers and stakeholders to drive the business agenda through technical and business solutions.

You’re a dot connector: You are the bridge between Supply Chain and other internal and external partners, working with Engineering, Manufacturing, Innovation Quality, Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, Transportation, Warehousing, Procurement, contractors, consultants and other functions, representing technical excellence and understanding of the category technology. You perform successfully in a multi-functional/ discipline high performance team environment.

You’re a change maker: You flawlessly execute the project management leading all aspects of the working program working with R&D, Brand, IT and SC in an integrated, high performance work team, bringing an outside-in and out of the box thinking beyond conventional distribution and network technology to build an end to end optimized supply chain network that is state-of-the-art, agile, cost competitive, highly productive, planet positive and highly digitized.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

University degree in technical discipline or general sciences a plus

At least 3-5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain management required (Finance, Planning, Engineering, or Logistics a plus)

At least 3 years of Logistics experience

Ideally have 1-3 years’ experience managing major projects

Experience in SAP, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Projects etc.
