Logistics Operations Manager Jobs

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret business challenges and recommend best practices to enhance service, methods, and processes.
• Develop tools and standard operating procedures for the team.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Stay updated on transportation industry trends and educate stakeholders.
• Manage cost savings/avoidance tracker and foster stakeholder adoption.
• Utilize efficient systems and reporting for accurate transportation cost and service analysis.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives through network optimization, carrier selection, etc.

Person specifications:

• 8+ years in transportation and warehousing operations utilizing lean principals for continuous improvement.
• Certification and/or License - Lean Six Sigma, Supply Chain, or Project Management preferred.
• High proficiency with SAP or similar enterprise systems.
• Advanced skills with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Food and beverage experience preferred for a large multi-plant organization.
• Bachelor's degree in business, preferably Supply Chain Management.
• Transportation Management Systems (TMS) experience.
