Logistics Team Coordinator Jobs

Danfoss in Utica has an immediate opening for a Team Coordinator in Logistics. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm.

As a Team Coordinator, you will utilize your skills to support Danfoss Silicon Power in Logistics. You will be responsible for achieving targets within your assigned area while leading your team of technicians in addition to your assigned production duties, this position lays out work for technicians and serves as the first point of escalation for issues within the team. Travel may be required for up to 4 weeks for initial training to a company facility in Germany.

Job Responsibilities

• Inline quality assurance and raw material batch releases
• Lead Role-Provides technical expertise to others
• Oversee logistics in absence of supervisor
• Resolve minor conflicts within the logistics group
• Serve as a role model to other logistics associates by personally, setting an example modeling behavior expectations in attendance, safety, quality, productivity, and team work
• Builds a team atmosphere by fostering individual and team development. Recognizes the stages that teams experience as they develop.
• Participate in meetings with production planner and shift leader regarding future demands and actual shortage situations
• Coach employees on process-related issues
• The outcome, productivity, yield and quality of the products incoming and outgoing in your area of responsibility.
• Help identify back-ups prior to known absences within department; Assists Supervisor in developing plans for overtime or off-shift work
• Maintains cooperative and productive working relationships and communications with all employees. Help ensure good communication occurs within the team and company.

• Three or more years of experience and/or training preferably within the electronics or semiconductor manufacturing business
• High School diploma or a two-year degree in business or technical related fields
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Basic knowledge of business systems such as Microsoft Office, MM SAP module and MES is preferred.
