Logistics Operations Manager Jobs

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an industry leading manufacturing company in KC who is currently seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager with at least 8 years of transportation and warehousing experience implementing lean/continuous improvement methodologies. This is a BRAND NEW position with an opportunity to work with a thriving organization. This position offers hybrid flexibility, working from home two days each week.

Responsibilities:

· Lead improvement initiatives for processes and services and ensure continuous improvement across all manufacturing, logistics, and suppliers

· Assess business challenges and offer best practices for improvement

· Clear understanding of industry trends and articulate information to stakeholders on the impacts to the company

· Effective budget analysis on transportation costs and uncover any variances needing to be addressed

· Develop and implement tools and operating procedures for the logistics team

· Utilize systems and reporting, such as SAP, TMS, and Power BI to convey transportation cost and service

· Team up with manufacturing to remediate any transportation issues and act as primary contact

Qualifications:

· Minimum 8 years' experience in transportation and warehousing operations

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field

· Proficient with SAP or similar system; TMS experience required; advanced skill with Excel and MS Office Suite

· Experience desired in multi-plant organization in food and beverage industry

· Lean Six Sigma certifications preferred; Lean background required
