GDIT is seeking a Logistics Analyst to help support our MCSIL program.
A Logistics Analyst is needed to join our growing MCSIL program in Point Mugu, California. The primary purpose of this position is to function as part of a logistics management operation in support of assigned systems and /or program. Responsible for supporting total cradle to grave logistics management for complex weapons systems.
This position requires the person to work at the customer site in Point Mugu Naval Air Station, CA
In this role, a typical day will include:
- You will support the development, update, and maintenance of logistic, ILS Plans, Operational and Interim Support Plans as required.
- You will provide technical writing, editorial reviews, and support peer reviews to ensure quality and consistent products are developed and delivered.
- You will develop, update, and maintain logistical documentation such as user manuals, pilot checklists, technical manuals, maintenance plans, training materials, etc. to assure logistical support for each level of system/equipment maintenance.
- You will support the identification, development, and instantiation of opportunities for improving, streamlining, and maintaining repeatable logistical best practices while maintaining adherence to published instructions, guidance, etc.
- You will participate in system requirements and design reviews, configuration management reviews, readiness reviews, provisioning and training plan conferences as required.
- You will support the assessment of requirements necessary to coordinate ILS functions with other related functions such as engineering, test, Fleet Support, etc.
Qualifications:
- Must be US Citizen and able to obtain a Secret clearance
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with systems development life cycle (SDLC)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Bachelor of Science in logistics or certificate in logistics desired
- Proficiency in word processor programs such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and PDF software such as Adobe Acrobat
- Attention to detail
- Experience with both print and digital media formats
- Minimum of Three (3) years of logistic and/or technical writer experience with a degree or certificate or Seven (7) years of experience without a degree/certification.
- Familiarity with HyperText Markup Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
