Job Description


The Learning Product Manager is responsible for ensuring the alignment and health of all products within their assigned catalog. This includes business partner engagement, end-to-end project management, and ongoing product management and evaluation. The Product Manager also provides advice and assistance to improve catalog and portfolio quality and project results.


They may also manage one or more unrelated projects within agreed parameters of cost, times, and quality to meet identified business needs. Typically, such assignments would b of lower priority than the main product management duties, perhaps undertaken to cover a resourcing gap.

Specific Areas Of Responsibility Include


Product Management Tasks


  • Ensure the relevancy, quality, and overall health of all products within their assigned catalog.
  • Build and maintains a comprehensive annual product milestone plan.
  • Engage with business partners to develop comprehensive project plans and ongoing project management for new product requests.
  • Report progress and performance to senior leadership with specific emphasis on business objectives delivery, process metrics, effective risk and issue management, product volatility with respect to scope and quality changes, and process improvements.
  • Create business cases, identifying the business impact, the probability of satisfying business needs, the anticipated business benefits, and the risks and consequences of failure.
  • Manage the execution, maintenance, and quality assurance for projects and programs within their assigned catalog(s), identifying and managing a backlog of product lifecycle activities.
  • Contribute to the annual catalog planning and budgetary process.


Consultancy Tasks


  • Work with key business stakeholders to oversee and prioritize business work requests and resolve business partners’ concerns.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and recommend steps to capitalize on opportunities that will have a positive impact on the function.
  • Measure, review, and audit projects and program management to ensure conformance to organization standards.
  • Manage improvement programs, taking responsibility for the quality and appropriateness of the work performed.


Required


  • Product lifecycle management experience a plus.
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, or currently in pursuit of degree completion.
  • Builds and sustains effective relationships at all levels, particularly with business partners.
  • 3 years of relevant project management experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, planning, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Able to analyze and effectively communicate the benefits and risks inherent in their product decisions.
  • 3 years of relevant work experience in learning and development.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Budget management experience.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • International experience.
  • 2 years experience designing and developing content.

Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.


Expected Salary Range


$80,320.00 - $126,500.00
