Job Description
  • Responsible for managing, developing and implementing marketing, sales and other activities, as needed, to achieve the necessary business outcomes.
  • Champions the voice of the customer across stakeholder groups; focuses on delivering value that creates a sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Under limited supervision, leads development and execution of product/portfolio strategies and plans, taking into account product life cycle stage and the customer experience.
  • Executes new product development initiatives as marketing or overall development lead across multi-functional team.
  • Prioritizing new features, orchestrates and executes product development.
  • Develops business cases and preferred future state for products; uses research, data and financial analysis and customer insights to recommend a competitive offering.
  • Coaches others in less senior positions.
  • Leads cross-functional teams in pursuit of strategic goals and objectives.
  • Evaluates market, economic and competitive factors affecting product performance and demonstrates ability to perform fact based data analysis and interpretation to identify critical business insights.
  • Coordinates with required resources from OpCos and organizations to scope customer experience gaps.
  • Develops plans in conjunction with IT to prioritize, develop and implement capabilities.
  • Presents to and manages various processes including Leadership Forums.
  • Works with advanced data models and analytics.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus
  • Ability to generate insight from extensive and complex data sources.
  • Experience in operations or operating companies.
  • Proven ability to perform financial analysis and develop recommendations.
  • Experience in SQL.
Domicile
  • This position may be in Memphis, TN or Pittsburgh, PA.
Relocation:
  • Relocation assistance may be available based upon business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalency in product marketing, economics, business, or related field.
  • Directly related experience may offset degree requirements.
  • Strong executive presence and human relations skills.
  • Three (3) years work experience in functions focused on product management, market analysis or research, or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, quantitative, problem structuring & solving skills.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Knowledge of competitive, market and economic factors affecting product performance and ability to perform fact based data analysis.
  • Directly related advanced degrees may offset experience requirements.
