Job Description
The Jed Foundation (JED) seeks a skilled and experienced LMS Administrator to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Learning & Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to the JED Foundation and its end user by managing the Learning Management System (LMS).

The Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator works closely with the Learning & Knowledge team to drive development through technology-based training that supports JED’s mission and programs, which include teens and young adults seeking mental health information and support, school professionals participating in JED Academic Programs, other caring adults like caregivers, and a wide range of LMS users.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate must be self-motivated to learn new skills, be well organized, have excellent communication and troubleshooting skills, and be excited about researching and using technological competencies to enhance teaching and learning.

This is a remote position with approximate 20% travel for internal meetings within the US.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for tasks related to the launch of a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Lead the completion of various back-office tasks including, but not limited to, account creation and management, training enrollment management, subscription access management, and training credit management.
  • Assist the team with additional tasks outside of the LMS, as needed.
  • Responds to and troubleshoot inquiries related to training course issues.
  • Pull training data and reports, audit course completions, work with Design and Impact Team to ensure accurate data management, generate reports and conduct data analysis to identify improvement opportunities in training and quality.
  • Manage, test, and provide maintenance for content within the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Partner with instructional designers and instructional developers to manage instructor-led training, self-paced modules, videos, knowledge checks, surveys, and training resources within the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Train, coach, and support internal and external end users as they learn our new platform.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that help administrators utilize the system properly.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Familiarity with Moodle, RISE/Articulate and other Learning Management Systems.
  • Proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion.
  • 3+ years of LMS administration experience or developing learning content in a corporate environment, including end-user training and day-to-day support.
  • Knowledge of virtual instructor-led training platforms (such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams).
  • Familiarity with adult learning theories, and blended learning design.
  • Strong decision-making skills working independently and multi-tasking skills working in a fast-paced environment
  • Stays up to date with the constant change in learning and development to provide relevant advice and guidance related to our LMS.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle service issues with integrity, skill, and professionalism.

Pay Ranges / Location / Travel Information

Pay Ranges:
The range listed on this job posting is based on JED's compensation posting ranges. Salaries may be higher or lower depending on experience and geographic location.
Location/Travel Information:
Please note that this position is largely remote but will require retreat/business meetings at JED’s central office in NYC or other locations as designated by JED leadership. Additional travel may be required.
