Learning & Development Internship Jobs

Purpose: Blanchard’s internship program is an opportunity to be involved in many different aspects of business development and intern activities while providing support to a specific department or team. We are seeking a part-time Learning and Development Intern to join our team and support our organization’s learning and development initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in human resources, talent development and adult learning principles. The Learning & Development Intern will work closely with our People Experience Partner to support training initiatives that support and improve our colleagues’ skills, knowledge, and development.
Duties include:

• Keep up to date with new developments and trends in the field of learning and development.
• Conduct training needs assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
• Assist in the creation and implementation of employee development plans.
• Assist with the administration of our learning management system.
• Support the delivery of training sessions and workshops.
• Coordinate logistics and manage registrations for training sessions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of training programs, including e-learning, instructor-led training, and virtual training.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Prioritization and organization skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Education & Experience

• Hybrid role: Must be local to San Diego/Escondido area to be able to come into office 1-2 times per week.
• Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field
• Must have at least a 2.0 GPA

Work Environment: Normal office environment to include lifting and carrying resource materials up to 10lbs. Sitting for extended periods of time to read, write and operate computer at desk. Requires adaptability, quick decision making, ability to interpret data, dependability, good judgment, reading, social skills, stress controls, ability to work independently.
