It Support Person Jobs

BT Commercial Ltd is a leading company, specializing in Airconditioning, heating and ventilation and is seeking the services of a motivated junior IT Support person to provide initial support.

The successful candidate will work under guidance of IT Service providers and IT staff to maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and network systems. The candidate should have a good understanding of operating systems, hardware, and networking. Although training will be provided, the candidate should have a good understanding of the following:

• Perform regular system backups and ensuring that they are valid.
• Day-to-day IT and desktop support remotely or on-site.
• Respond to user requests for assistance and escalate if necessary.
• Install and configure computer hardware, software, and other devices.
• Provide end-user support for all software applications, including email.
• Perform system maintenance tasks such as updates and patches.

Qualifications and requirements

IT-related diploma, or currently studying on a part-time basis for an IT diploma or degree.

Preferably 1-2 years’ experience in IT support or a related field.

Familiarity with Windows operating systems.

Knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting.

Experience with Microsoft Office and other applications.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
