This position is based at our Read Roast location in Madera, CA.

Ready Roast along with Hampton Farms is the leading In-Shell Peanut Company in the US. We are also a leading producer of other types of nuts and nut butters for the retail and commercial markets. You can find our product in most grocery stores and major league baseball stadiums. We distribute under the Hampton Farms brand and are also a leading private label manufacturer.

Pay Range: $50,000 – $60,000 per year

Job Purpose

• The IT Specialist will provide hands-on network and end user support for Ready Roast Nut in Madera CA. As Information Technology Specialist, reporting to the Director of IT, you will provide support for deployment and maintenance of system hardware, operating systems, and applications. Provide organization-wide service request management, service request escalation and day-to-day technical support. Provide analysis and resolution planning for detected issues and seek appropriate resolution to meet the goals of the department or organization. Responsible for performing a variety of technical duties related to system maintenance and operations. Perform research and analysis to provide resolution for technical issues related to the network.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Telecommunication provisioning and troubleshooting
• Monitor networks to ensure availability to users
• Troubleshoot problems reported by users
• Assist with help desk calls, scheduling, and tickets for internal users
• Other duties as assigned
• New user set up / removal of terminated users / Process Review
• Maintain network and system security
• Maintain good notes while diligently updating ticketing system
• Evaluate and make recommendations to optimize system’s performance
• Under IT staff guidance, perform computer imaging, staging and installation
• Analyze and isolate issues
• Participating in implementation projects
• Troubleshooting issues through contact with vendors as needed
• Identify user technical needs
• Administer desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, software deployment

Education and/or Experience

• Strong planning, reporting, and organizational skills
• Must be legally allowed to work in the S.
• May require working nights and weekends
• Good working knowledge and experience with basic network infrastructure components, such as switches, routers, and firewall, phones, smartphones, software deployment
• Excellent troubleshooting proficiency and customer service
