It Support Specialist Jobs

Sinclair is seeking an IT Support Specialist for our Tennis Channel location in Santa Monica, CA. This position is expected to be in the office. This individual is responsible for day-to-day technical support tasks within a collaborative environment. The appropriate candidate possesses the knowledge and experience to hit the ground running in a fast-paced atmosphere with an emphasis on help desk, desktop support, and customer service.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assists with inventory management including software licenses, Hardware, and other IT supplies
• Troubleshoots all end user systems; including desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and conference rooms
• Provides desktop and systems support for the Tennis Channel Santa Monica and Hayden offices, local Sinclair Broadcast Group Offices, and local Tennis Events
• Assists with new employee onboarding; including the purchasing and setup of new employee hardware and software
• Assists employees with helpdesk issues while properly following escalation procedures to resolve issues in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 – 5 years as full-time helpdesk or related functions
• Knowledge of enterprise systems including Microsoft Active Directory, File Sharing, and Print Servers
• Understanding of electronic connectors and their functions. (USB, Thunderbolt, Lightning, etc.)
• Familiarity of Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Etc.)
• Experience with AWS or Azure is a plus
• Knowledge of Broadcast Technology is a plus
• Understanding of networking and enterprise network infrastructures
• Strong understanding of post-production environments and workflows is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Skilled with Windows 10 and Mac OSX operating systems
• Understanding on Media Asset Management within a post-production environment is a plus
• Familiarity with remote support solutions including SCCM and Bomgar
• Understanding of SAN/NAS Administration and maintenance a plus
• Experience with Avid, Interplay, and Nexis/Isis systems is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Schedule:

• Possible travel to Paris every year during the French Open
• Job location - Santa Monica, CA
• Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm, but should expect to work a weekend during big tournaments

The base salary compensation range for this role is $95,000 to $110,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
