The Project Financial Analyst (PFA) role will be responsible for the regular analysis, reconciliation and reporting of current financial data related to project delivery. They will help define and maintain financial models based on budget and forecast analysis. The PFA will partner closely with the Portfolio Manager to assist in developing use cases by forecasting the optimal resource allocation for new projects. They will perform cost/benefit analysis for project value assessment and to help inform decision-making. In addition, the PFA will produce weekly reports showing the overall financial health of the project and explaining any variances. They will work closely with project leadership to ensure that any budgetary overruns are communicated and addressed quickly. The PFA will also help in identifying strategies to help mitigate any financial risk to the project.
This position requires a highly motivated individual with exceptional analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and strong financial management skills. The ability to work well in a dynamic environment, think creatively, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously is also required.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and maintain financial reports and dashboards to communicate project health

Prepares budgets, including forecasts of revenues and expenditures for assigned projects; develops financial reports for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis

Prepare and evaluate management information and monthly performance reports reviewing month-end results, run rate analysis, portfolio analytics, and capital and funding usage

Execute detailed financial models and conduct deep dive analysis into project performance with valuation models

Responsible for the comprehensive financial reporting and budget management of assigned projects

Analyzes and interprets financial data for the purpose of determining financial performance including projected outcomes; makes recommendations based on this analysis

Reviews financial transactions and performs cost benefit analysis related to projects and programs. Performs complex cost, and financial analysis of data reported in the various financial systems.

Use various software applications, such as spreadsheets and relational databases, to assemble, manipulate and format data, reports and presentations.
