Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess excellent technical skills with a strong knowledge of VDI, VPN, AD, Mobile set up, Temp profile issue, application installation (Bloomberg Terminal), drive mapping, user home folder migration, Outlook issue, and SCCM. As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems.
Key Responsibilities:
5- 10 years of IT End User Trade Floor experience in a leading financial firm in high paced environment.
Installation, Troubleshooting and Support for Operating System windows 7/10 /11, MAC OS), MS Office 365 suite, One Drive, MS teams, andother Investment & Corporate Banking / Trading applications.
* Provide desktop support to end-users by diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
* Install, configure, and troubleshoot applications on desktops and laptops.
* Create and maintain user accounts in Active Directory, including password resets and permissions management.
* Configure and troubleshoot virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and VPN connections for remote users.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to temporary profiles, user home folder migration, and drive mapping.
Provide mobile device setup and support for smartphones and tablets.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft Outlook, including email setup and connectivity problems.
Deploy software packages and updates using SCCM and other enterprise software management tools.
Ensure all desktops and laptops are properly patched and up to date with security updates and software upgrades.
Ability to coordinate CM End users’ issues with various Level 3 Server / Network support groups and project teams for service delivery enhancements, maintenance and upgrades.
Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructure and services.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Good experiencein desktop support, including experience withVDI, VPN, AD, Mobile set up, Temp profile issue, application installation, drive mapping, user home folder migration, Outlook issue, and SCCM.
Experience with Active Directory, SCCM, and other enterprise software management tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn new technologies and keep up to date with industry trends.
