Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Desktop Support professional to join our team. As a Desktop Support specialist, you will be responsible for providing end-user support, hardware break-fix services, and coordinating with vendors to ensure smooth operation of desktop and laptop hardware.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide smart hand support services, including connecting cables to routers, switches, and hubs, moving cables for user/desk movement, and plug/unplug power and cables into PBX systems.
  • Provide IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) services for desktops, laptops, and other end-user computing devices.
  • Provide domain expertise in end-user computing and offer support services for desktop and laptop hardware.
  • Assist with mobile device support, addressing user-related issues and providing necessary troubleshooting.
  • Offer smart hand support for server, network, multi-function devices (MFD), and other site-specific IT devices.
  • Perform hardware break-fix services, including diagnosing and resolving hardware issues for desktops and laptops.
  • Coordinate with vendors for services such as MFD, escort, and issue management during scheduled visits.
  • Update asset and inventory information in ServiceNow asset management system.
  • Follow local government norms and regulations related to COVID protocols.
  • Support audio and video conferencing systems, troubleshooting and resolving user-related issues.


Requirements:

  • Familiarity with smart hand support for server, network, and other IT devices.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and resolving hardware issues for desktops and laptops.
  • Strong domain expertise in end-user computing.
  • Knowledge of IMAC services for end-user computing devices.
  • Knowledge of mobile device support and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in coordinating with vendors for service-related activities.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role.
  • Ability to troubleshoot audio and video conferencing systems.
  • Familiarity with asset and inventory management systems such as ServiceNow.
  • Adherence to COVID protocols as per local government regulations.
