Job Description

A leading quantitative hedge fund with a rich history in the electronic trading space is looking to hire a Desktop Support Engineer for their New York office. This role will be a key hire for their IT operations team, coving 500+ users across their North America offices.


Main duties:

  • Some weekend work will be required.
  • Provide 24/5 support for both onsite and global business users
  • Work with L2 and L3 teams to help troubleshoot more complex tasks.
  • Proactively automate common tasks to improve efficiency.
  • Manage requests and incidents in a timely and organised manner.


Requirements:

  • Degree in STEM field.
  • Self motivated and directed learner.
  • Strong knowledge of the Windows stack (Windows 10, Windows server 2012+, O365, AD, OneDrive etc).
  • Strong attention to detail
  • 5+ years experience working as a Desktop/IT Support Engineer
  • Ability to handle multiple ongoing tasks and work to short deadlines
