Investment Associate And Vp For Credit Hedge Fund

Overview

One of the top credit hedge funds based in New York is looking to make two hires, an Investment Associate and a VP. The firm focuses on long-short credit investments across a range of industries. They have a top decile performance track record and an extremely talented senior leadership team. The Investment Associates and VPs will cover a number of subsectors and will be involved in taking investment ideas to committee across everything from performing, stressed and distressed credit investments. The team continues to experience strong growth and success and is looking to expand their team with two hires at the Associate and VP level.

Job Responsibilities

• You will draw upon your network and experience to assist with due diligence (including the projection of future financial performance, and analysis of industry trends) and to determine an appropriate valuation for each investment
• The positions will involve screening and evaluation of public and private distressed and special situations investment opportunities.
• Preparation of other ad hoc support materials/presentations to the business
• You will maintain and/or develop a strong network among a wide range of market counterparts including legal, financial and restructuring advisors, banks and companies
• Support with business development, marketing and control initiatives as may be required from time to time

The Requirements

• VP: 5-8 years' experience working in credit research currently in an alternative investment fund
• You must have strong analytical & technical skills, are result-oriented, with attention to detail and quality when delivering results under time pressure
• Associate: 2-4 years’ experience in credit research at an investment bank or alternative investment fund
• You must have proven project management and organizational skills
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree required from a top tier institution
