Responsibilities
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and instructional designers to apply technical solutions that align with teaching and learning goals.
Provide direct support and consultation on instructional technology services, ensuring smooth usage of tools like learning management systems, media management, remote instruction tools, and more.
Develop comprehensive end-user documentation and conduct training sessions to empower users.
Administer and manage systems such as Canvas, YuJa Media Management, and eXplorance Blue, ensuring configuration, integrations, security, and analytics are optimized.
Stay up-to-date with emerging instructional technologies, evaluate their potential, and make recommendations for implementation.
Foster a supportive community of practice, collaborating with various campus units and participating in knowledge-sharing events.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Broad knowledge of various areas of IT.
Strong technical skills in managing complex enterprise applications, preferably within an educational context.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical individuals.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for adult learning theory, instructional design, and creating inclusive educational experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with instructional design principles, Universal Design, and accessible technologies.
Knowledge of data quality and governance practices.
Experience with agile methodologies and Lean/Six Sigma.
Understanding of intellectual property restrictions and relevant regulations (IP, Copyright and Fair Use, FERPA, ADA, etc.).
Experience with rich media production methods and tools.
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $83,500 to $92,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Additionally, we provide full benefits, including medical, dental, and vision care insurance plans, retirement options, paid family leave, and generous vacation and sick leave allowances.
