Basic Function: The Inside Sales Manager answers to the Sr. VP Sales and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to set the inside sales team up for success. This position focuses on providing training, setting goals, tracking performance metrics, and identifying opportunities to support the inside sales team with efforts to increase sales volume at existing accounts, as well as reclaiming lost business and finding new customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and present reports on inside sales team performance to senior management.
  • Recruit, hire, on-board, train and manage a team of four to eight inside sale representatives.
  • Participate in and promote the team’s adoption and adherence to the Sandler Sales Training system.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s products and services.
  • Set individual and team goals, and track metrics for achieving same.
  • Liaise with company leaders in outside sales, customer service, operations, logistics and finance to support and implement growth strategies.
  • Develop strategies, tactics, and campaigns to grow revenue and share-of-wallet with current, former and prospective customers.
  • Understand the competitive landscape in which we operate.
  • Manage the team’s daily activities.


Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in prioritizing work streams for optimal impact towards company objectives.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Ability to build, train and develop a team of motivated high achievers on all aspects of the inside sales process from data analysis to prospecting to closing deals.
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
  • Teamwork-oriented leadership style.
  • 2+ years of sales management experience, preferably managing a team of inside sales reps/telemarketers.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, as well as data warehouse tools like PowerBI.
  • 5+ years of inside sales or related background.
  • Proficient in the use and management of CRM tools, preferably SalesForce.com.
  • Ability to multi-task, work in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
