Founded by chef David Chang, Momofuku's mission is to challenge the conventions of food - in restaurants and beyond. We launched our line of pantry essentials in 2020 to bring restaurant flavors to home cooks everywhere. Since then, we have grown our small but mighty team and our products can now be found nationwide - from our ecommerce marketplace to the shelves at grocery stores like Whole Foods and Target.

The Innovation and Strategy Extern will handle a range of projects, including but not limited to innovation, customer insights, competitive assessment, board & investor relations, and the overall strategic growth plan.

Compensation Band: $85,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Define path to entry and estimate size of prize
• Identify and assess new growth channels and partners
• Define go-to-market strategies and map out execution risks
• Evaluate new categories and areas of opportunity
• Business analytics and customer insights
• Summarize insights and assist in preparation of investor & board materials
• Evaluate extensions within existing categories and improvements to existing products based on customer feedback and market dynamics
• Business development
• Innovation roadmap
• Evaluate core drivers of sales and profit growth
• Identify opportunities to improve and prioritize areas of focus

Skills & Requirements

• Excellent project management skills
• Proficient in financial analysis
• Highly resourceful; able to work with limited information when necessary and drive own work stream
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Adaptable; able to work with a wide range of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
• BS/BA and 2-3 years of consulting or investment banking experience
• Action-oriented and self-motivated
• Industry experience preferred
