Information Management Specialist Jobs

The Information Manager is a resource to the Project Management Team for the purpose of helping them incorporate standards for information generation, storage and distribution. The process supports Advanced Work Packaging which is expected to return project alignment and productivity enhancements.

The Information Manager will:

• Be assigned to projects prior to the development of contracts for Engineering, Procurement and Construction.

• Be accountable to introduce and facilitate standards for information management in these specific areas:

o 3D model Attributes

o Work Breakdown Structure

o Project Nomenclature

o Document naming convention

o Material management systems

o Project cloud

o Data warehousing

o Power BI

• Support project team members who will administer the application of Information standards.

• Be responsible to be a guiding resource for Information Management through the entire lifecycle of the project; Initiation through to commissioning with all of the contracted organizations.

• Report directly to the AWP Champion

• Consult as required with: Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls, Document Control, Material Management, Construction and the Business Unit.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate would have a combination of:

Experience/education with Construction, Procurement and Engineering data.

Database management, Data Warehousing, 3D modeling, Workface Planning software, project scheduling, Building Information modelling (BIM), completions software and Power BI.

Role:

The Information manager is typically imbedded with the Engineering team at the start of a project, transitioning to the fabrication facilities and then to the construction site as the project matures.

Typically this can be accomplished with 60% onsite and 40% remote (Tue, Wed, Thur in the office).
