Assists callers in accessing medical information following established procedures and HIPAA requirements.

Knowledge of basic computer programs; spreadsheet, word-processing

Collects records of recently discharged/treated patients from various locations within the organization.

Scans records into the electronic system following established procedures.

Performs any document deletions or additions to electronic records when needed.

Indexes records into the electronic system.

Associate of Arts Degree in Health Information Management or complimentary field of study; or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge of health information management operations and HIPAA guidelines.

Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or equivalent work experience.

Demonstrates proficiency with computer data entry skills.

Responsible for chart creation, maintenance, and breakdown for all Fred Hutch Clinics, on paper and in electronic formats.

Supports HIM processes as assigned in the areas of:

3+ years 3M 360 CAC recent (within last 6 months) experience a MUST PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from High School or GED; or equivalent experience.

Coding experience with infusion center coding, chemotherapy administrations, injections/infusions

3+ years Epic recent (within last 6 months) experience a MUST

5+ years ED Profee coding recent (within last 6 months) experience to include E/M leveling.

No Experience Or Training Is Required.

A successful record of task and/or project management, including planning schedules and level of effort for EHS software implementations.

At least seven years’ experience implementing EHS software

Experience leading EHS software implementations, including design workshops, development, testing, and post-go-live support.

Advanced configuration expertise in at least one EHS software system, such as Enablon, Intelex, Sphera, Enviance, or others

Salary: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour

Gathers and generates reports on various department metrics for review by management; recommends processes and procedures to improve departmental performance.

Assist with implementing Behavioral Health Department policies and procedures as they relate to management and administration of health and medical records.

State and federal requirements for medical records maintenance, quality improvement systems, and utilization review procedures.

Type and/or use word processing software at a speed sufficient to meet job requirements.

Three years of office support experience in maintaining statistical, fiscal, hospital, nursing administration, or medical records.
