L3Harris Space & Sensors Division is seeking an Industrial Security Specialist to join its Security team. The successful candidate develops and administers security programs and procedures for classified, sensitive, or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. The Industrial Security Specialist researches and implements federal security regulations, maintaining knowledge and awareness of interdisciplinary compliance requirements (finance, cyber, information technology, and trade compliance). The candidate obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. The Industrial Security Specialist prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, retaining records, and access by personnel or visitors to restricted records and materials. The successful candidate partners with the Facility Secuirty Officer to conduct security education training, security audits, investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Additional responsibilities include collecting, assimilating, and interpreting intelligence information and disseminating to the appropriate stakeholder or investigating authority.

Mason, OH is located in Warren County, “Ohio’s Largest Playground.” Major attractions are right around the corner, including Great Wolf Lodge and Kings Island Amusement Park. Our site is 20 minutes from downtown Cincinnati, where there are multiple attractions including The Newport Aquarium and The Cincinnati Zoo. Cincinnati is also the home AFC Champions the Cincinnati Bengals, the Cincinnati Reds, the Cincinnati Cyclones and FC Cincinnati of Major League Soccer.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain the security database of classified holdings.
- Track security clearance investigations and perform administrative support functions to include Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and eQIP administration.
- Provide security briefings, debriefings, and awareness training for site personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Process new employee security clearances.
- Implement security policy and direction consistent with the Company and Government regulations.
- Review of required forms, process and screen of security forms (SF86) of various background investigations, and associated paperwork for accuracy.
- Assist the Facility Security Officer in the creation, management and presentation of security training.
- Review the details and requirements issued in formal DD254 contracts.
- Partner with functional organizations and possess the ability to solve complex challenges independently in compliance with written and verbal guidance from both internal and external customers as appropriate meeting business objectives.
- Process necessary badge requests for L3Harris employees and visitors.
- Processing outgoing visit requests and certifications.
- Assist the FSO with annual DCSA security Audits.
- Provide answers/analyses to address questions and concerns from management.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience working with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM Rule (32 CFR Title 117)).
- Active secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

- Experience collaberating with employees across all functions and levels within the organization.
- Ability to work flexible hours, as required.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Ability to objectively and professionally conduct investigations regarding sensitive issues and violations of written policies.
- Possess a high degree of organizational and communications skills, both written and verbal.
- SIMS Database experience.
- Ability to solve complex challenges independently in compliance with written and verbal guidance from both internal and external Customers as appropriate.
