POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the protection of Company property and assets. Patrols premises to maintain order, enforce regulations, prevent and control loss, and ensure observance of applicable laws.

  • This position is located at Snow Valley Resort in Running Springs.

Starting wage between $19.00/hr. - $20.88/hr. depending on experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Must be a talented communicator having a calm and collective demeanor, especially during challenging operations
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old
  • Capacity to read, understand, and comply with documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, which may include weekends and holidays
  • Must have a valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record and the ability to operate equipment as needed
  • Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Perform daily assignments and keep Supervisor/Manager informed of crucial information regarding incidents or losses.
  • Respond to requests for assistance from other area employees regarding security and enforcement.
  • Exhibit willingness to perform other duties as assigned or assist in efforts outside of department as needed.
  • Enforce the ABC laws of the State of California.
  • Demonstrate the ability and willingness to follow verbal and written instructions; as well as further develop professional skills, abilities, and knowledge.
  • Follow all Company and Department Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Patrol property during operating hours to assist guest(s) with information and act as a deterrent against crime, illegal drug/alcohol activity, or inappropriate behavior.
  • Help in maintaining the harmony and safety during large events.
  • Obtain information from and give assistance to employee(s)/guest(s) at the scene of an incident, write reports, and maintain response log.
  • Assure that appropriate areas are alarmed and/or secured by inspecting each building and vehicle, onsite and offsite.
  • Attend training and safety meetings, as well as exhibit the application and retention of all material presented.
  • Transport money onsite and/or to the bank.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Mental strain and fatigue may occasionally be caused by trying to resolve guest issues, meeting deadlines, and balancing the wants and needs of the departmental staff. Handling emergency situations and working in adverse weather conditions may cause additional mental strain. Physical hazards include walking up and down steep stairways or driving on surfaces that may be wet/frozen and slippery, as well as exposure to fumes, odors, dusts, mists and gases, on-mountain vehicles, electric current/shock, and hydraulic systems. Physical strain may also be caused by lifting or movement of heavy objects.
