Industrial Engineer, Material Flow - Service Manufacturing

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Industrial Engineer who will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational excellence of material flow within our advanced 4680 battery cell manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will collaborate on the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of internal material logistics to cell production lines with respect to safety, efficiency, cost and quality. Through true cross-departmental collaboration, our process engineers design conveyance methods, manpower requirements, equipment needs, lineside layouts, warehouse layouts and replenishment methods to convey raw material effectively and safely to the line. However, our job only begins with the design. Through a continuous feedback loop with our operations team, we constantly evaluate and improve our processes to streamline material flow by eliminating non-value-added activities. This never-ending persistence for excellence is a core value to our team and essential to achieving a World Class Manufacturing system.
