Job Description
PURPOSE


This position performs professional level human resources work and carries out responsibilities in all of the human resources functional areas, with a strong emphasis on recruitment and onboarding. It will also support the human resources function by developing and coordinating employee programs and assisting in all components of HR, ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.


Essential Job Functions


  • Retain historical records by maintaining benefits recordkeeping system, filing, and retrieving benefit information.
  • Responsible for generating and sending HR related reports to designated departments on a recurring monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting complies.
  • Assist as needed with all areas of benefits by maintaining working relationships with benefit providers and ensuring knowledge of all benefits is current.
  • Ensure all reports and information is submitted to appropriate locations in a timely manner.
  • Work directly with the Human Resources Executive Director on various projects.
  • Recruitment: including full cycle recruiting, onboarding, I-9's and E Verify.
  • Ensure effective communication by responding to employee requests for information and interpreting company policies.
  • Coordinate and monitor the overall work study process, including staffing, reporting, etc. Remain current on annual federal work study regulations.

  • Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.

Required Qualifications


Education, Training and/or Experience


  • At least two (2) to three (3) years of experience in human resources, with an emphasis on excellent organization and time management
  • An Bachelor's Degree or higher in human resources or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be a team player, detail oriented and able to work on multiple tasks concurrently and maintain confidentiality.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Personal Characteristics


  • Ability to deal with difficult situations involving sensitive and confidential employee issues.
  • Able to perform duties independently under limited supervision.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of employees and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong Microsoft office skills.
  • Able to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines in a high stress environment.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and follow office procedures.


Preferred Qualifications


  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • At least three (3) years of human resources experience.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


  • Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment.
  • May spend significant time concentrating on CRT identifying and updating information and performing data entry input.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. retrieving and placing materials on high shelves and on floor-level shelves; standing, walking; carrying; grasping; hearing; seeing; sitting; kneeling; climbing; balancing; stooping; crouching and reaching.
  • Requires ability to communicate and exchange information, collects, compiles, compares, and prepares work documents, set-up and maintain work files.


WORKING CONDITIONS


  • Work performed in a general office environment.
  • May require availability for overtime hours during peak periods.
  • Requires periodic participation and attendance at recruiting events.
