JOB SUMMARY
Under direction of the HR Department Assistant Director of Training, position provides leadership to professional education and training programs and departments; serves as, writing coach, and primary curriculum designer/developer on staff education/training teams that support current policy initiatives; as well as serves as an instructional design and curriculum development specialist, trainer, and liaison.

Qualifications
ENTRY LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:Bachelor’s Degree n Human Resources or related filed required; SHRM-CP a plus
Experience:3 to 5 years of HR experience with a concentration in employee training
Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in English required. Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Computer Skills:Basic competency in MS Windows, MS Office, HRIS systems, and on the Internet.
Math Skills:Must be excellent.
Physical Performance:Light bending, short distance walking in between offices,
Reasoning Ability:Ability to prioritize, make appropriate decisions and judgment calls.
Other Skills:Ability to work independently or as part of a team, be highly organized, assume responsibility, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, multitask, be flexible, and maintain a high level of attention to details. Must be even-tempered, have good negotiation skills, and the ability to meet unexpected deadlines. Knowledge of local/state/federal compliance laws.
Travel:Routinely travels to New York City, Hudson Valley, and Long Island programs as necessary for in-person trainings

Job-related Duties – Essential Functions
These duties are essential and specific to the successful implementation of this position.
- Maintain and update employee information in the HR Learning Management and Employee Software
- Facilitate regular meetings with Program Director, Managers, and staff
- Assist with employee career development process
- Update the Human Resources Dashboard
- Conducting training needs assessments; interpreting/using training evaluation data to revise/modify training curricula/materials; completing assignments independently and within team settings; providing coaching, mentoring, and leadership to staff; maintaining complete records,
- Reviewing and monitoring curricula and written products to assure quality and conformance with project objectives
- Delivering in-person classroom training throughout New York City and Hudson Valley, virtual classroom/online training using e-learning/webinar technology, and technical assistance programs
- Planning, researching, designing, developing, and implementing a variety of performance-based curricula and educational materials, including in-person classroom training, virtual classroom/online training, e-learning, and self-paced educational and performance support materials
- Preparing routine reports, and assisting preparation of materials, coordinate surveys and data management
- Conduct credit card invoice reconciliations
- Employment Verifications
- Use the HR software for data entry, employee updates, report management and compliance audits
