Job Description
We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Human Resources Generalist to become a valued member of our team. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources (HR) Generalist will play a pivotal role in handling various human resources functions. These responsibilities encompass recruitment and onboarding, enhancing the employee experience, benefits administration, employee relations, and workers' compensation. The HR Generalist is instrumental in facilitating the day-to-day operations of our organization by delivering a comprehensive range of HR services to both employees and management. Confidentiality and professionalism are key, as the incumbent will support the District Sanitary Board, Executive Director, Director of Human Resources, and other supervisory/managerial personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition:
Orchestrating the recruitment and selection of WLSSD Bargaining Unit employees.
Devising and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract top-tier talent.
Coordinating the development and implementation of employment testing procedures.
Managing and upkeeping recruitment databases and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
Benefits Administration
Overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of the District's benefit programs.
Providing comprehensive information and communication materials on benefit offerings to District employees.
Managing benefit plan renewals and executing administration action plans to ensure seamless and timely processes.
Serving as a liaison between participants, benefit brokers, and vendors to address benefit plan issues.
HR Policies And Compliance
Ensuring strict adherence to legal and regulatory employment requirements.
Safeguarding confidential personnel records and information in line with established standards.
Assisting in the management of worker's compensation records, safety records, training records, and return-to-work programs.
Administering employee leave processes, including sick leave and disability management programs in compliance with District policies and applicable laws.
Labor Relations
Maintaining records for management during collective bargaining activities.
Participating in strategy development for negotiations by gathering and researching information, as well as managing records for Board strategy sessions.
Offering initial clarification on questions related to bargaining unit contracts.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources management, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Four (4) years of progressively responsible professional-level experience in Human Resources.
Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
Salary: $ 62,728.00 77,397.00 Per Year
