POSITION: Communications Generalist

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time

WORK SCHEDULE: 1.0 FTE (80 hours a pay period) Days

DEPARTMENT: Marketing

LOCATION: On-site at both Fairview Range in Hibbing and Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital in Grand Rapids.

JOB SUMMARY: This position will be a collaborative position supporting both Fairview Range in Hibbing and Grand Itasca in Grand Rapids. The Communications Generalist assists with overall development and implementation of marketing and communications programs in support of strategic organization objectives, with an emphasis on communications efforts. This will be a full-time position and must be able to work on-site at both facilities with flexibility to work remotely on occasion.

Job Duties

• Assists with day-to-day operations of specific year-round marketing or public programs, as assigned.
• Assists with event management including planning, organizing, and implementing special events.
• Identifies opportunities to support organizational initiatives and develop communication materials and programs to promote these activities.
• Assists with public speaking presentations and public events coordination.
• Assists marketing leadership in coordinating collateral development of digital and traditional media, including concept and production.
• Builds and fosters collaborative relationships with other departments of the organization to stay informed and abreast of new initiatives, products, or services.
• Establishes and manages branded and communication tools and materials.
• Assists department manager in the development of strategic marketing and public relations plan to support the organization's mission, goals, and objectives.
• Supports marketing leadership in developing and overseeing annual budget.
• Assists with public relations materials including news releases, news materials, website and social media content and program announcements.

Qualifications

Required:

• 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Associate's Degree in Communications or related field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft office and Adobe Suite products.

Preferred

• 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field.

This position will be employed by Fairview Range but will work onsite at both Grand Itasca and Fairview Range. Fairview Range is a family of medical providers based in Hibbing, and includes Fairview Range Medical Center, Fairview Mesaba Clinics (with locations in Hibbing, Nashwauk and Mountain Iron), home care, hospice and a medical supply provider.
