Job Description
Position Purpose: The Human Resources & Payroll Associate is responsible for assisting the department in the crucial and necessary process of internal document keeping as well as maintaining all confidential employee documentation. The HR Associate will be taking directives from Human Resources Leadership and support CARE's clinical and administrative employee population. This position requires excellent organization and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Principal Accountabilities/Essential Functions
  • This is an on-site position.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership and HR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.
  • Enroll/terminate employees in HR system (including payroll information, and benefit enrollments and deductions)
  • Prepare, create, transmit, file and secure documents while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA regulations (applicant files, employee files, benefit files, and audit files).
  • Support the organization by fully utilizing our ADP HRIS system for onboarding, benefits orientations and enrollments, and training.
  • Ensure enrollment and terminations are received by vendor in a timely manner.
  • Meets with new hires to complete onboarding including: preparing offer letters, degree verification, background checks, verifying employment eligibility and completion of Form I-9's, sending welcome information, and processing new hire documentation.
  • Provides support for all human resource management programs, performs the Human Resources department essential functions in the areas of payroll, benefits, LOA programs, onboarding, workers compensation, and general administration.
  • Analyzes, prepares, and inputs payroll data using ADP system to produce accurate and timely payroll. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
  • Responsible for overseeing the processing of company payroll while administering and maintaining the organizations HR records and employee forms while responding to employee inquiries.
  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HR users.
  • Assist with scheduling, uploading, and scanning employee reviews and career development plans.
  • Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HR users.
Qualifications & Education
  • Undergraduate Degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
  • Experience in managing systems, processes, and people.
  • Familiar with ADP Benefit Database.
  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes utilizing ADP.
  • Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company.
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple assignments (multi-tasking)
  • Experienced user with MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) (running reports and data analytics)
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Capable of working responsibly with highly confidential information.
  • Excellent conceptual and analytical thinking skills
