Job Description
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for cultivating partnerships with leaders that help continually enhance our ability to achieve results through people. This role supports a wide range of key HR initiatives driving business performance and acts as the point-person for frontline leaders in day-to-day HR related issues. This role will promote Astera Health's organizational values through human resource management.
This is a full time, exempt position, scheduled at 80 hours bi-weekly. Candidates must be willing and able to be on-site in Wadena, Minnesota. Responsibilities Include
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
  • Answers questions regarding benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance
  • Partner with leaders on performance improvement and employee engagement
  • Process and administer leave of absence, FMLA, and ADA accommodations
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
Competencies Required Include
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Capability of effective planning and priority setting, ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other applications. HRIS experience strongly preferred.
Education And Experience Required
  • 3-5 years experience in human resources
  • Or: an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the responsibilities of the job
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field
Immunization requirements include: MMR, Hepatitis B (based on the position), Tdap, Varicella, Influenza, COVID-19
