Booming Restaurant group seeks an HR Director to run the show!
The Human Resources Director will manage the day-to-day functions of the Human Resource department for growing catering company and restaurant group! and This includes full-cycle recruitment, on-boarding, benefits, leave administration, employee relations, ensuring adherence to company policies and best practices. Experience in restaurants, catering, or hotels is a must!! This company is very established and need a candidate who can be innovative, work independently and create new procedures and operations to stay competitive in the market place.

Responsibilities :
- Manage recruitment process including job postings, screening of applicants, leading initial interviews, coordinating shadow shifts, conducting background checks and references, and handle job offers.
- Handles employee relations and conducts investigations and resolution in a timely and discreet manner.
- Ensures the company is adhering to state and federal regulations including but not limited to Food & Safety, OSHA, Allergen Awareness, appropriate and up-to-date certifications across all positions in the organization.
- Conduct employee recognition program and promote positive workplace culture.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, leaves, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex or sensitive questions to senior management.
- Conduct marketing surveys to determine pay scales for positions.
- Review and update job descriptions for positions.
- Manage employee benefits, health insurance, retirement, COBRA, and unemployment. Oversees leaves of absence; FMLA, PFML and personal leaves.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- On-boarding new hires, assisting with orientation, and scheduling introductory meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Manages OSHA log
- Manages Worker's Compensation, PFML, and Unemployment Insurance claim portal.
- Create sales compensation plan agreements and offer letters.
Skills/Abilities:
- Spanish is a plus.
- Must have experience in full cycle recruitment.
- HRIS experience in Paylocity is preferred.
- Discretion and confidentiality in working with sensitive information.
- Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels within the organization.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, negotiation and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organization.
- Knowledge of operational safety is required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or G-suite.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and professionalism.
- Employee relations/coaching/facilitation experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Federal and State employment laws, HR technical knowledge in EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA, unemployment, and workers’ compensation.
Qualifications
- PHR/SHRM certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field strongly preferred.
- 2 years Human Resource Management experience.
- 5-7 years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
- Hospitality experience required!!
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 40 hours, On-site
- Work location: Needham, MA and other local locations in Waltham & Watertown as needed
