We seek a results-focused, innovative, customer-centric well-qualified individual to join our talented team as a Human Resources Director, Americas. In this role, you will be responsible for driving high-performance, human-centric culture across the region by executing the HR Value Chain for employee lifecycle activities. You will lead the implementation and adoption of global HR strategies and systems, ensuring alignment with business goals while addressing regional priorities and legal requirements. Your focus will be on delivering day-to-day HR leadership, coaching, and partnership to support an innovative and productive workforce, meeting both organizational and employee needs as a skilled Player-Coach within the organization.


In addition, you will:


  • Take ownership of HR processes, driving continuous improvement and innovation by identifying areas for optimization and implement changes to enhance efficiency and value creation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and identify opportunities for improvement, and foster a culture of continuous learning, adaptation, and improvement.
  • Integrate customer advocacy into HR operations, programs, and deliverables by applying CX/EX tools to design and implement HR systems that exceed customer expectations. You will actively listen and understand customer needs, striving to exceed them while developing qualitative and quantitative tools to measure customer satisfaction with HR services.
  • Lead NA HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, employee data management, compensation, and HR technology activities. Build internal tools & processes to ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, legal regulations, and labor laws. Mitigate potential legal risks by staying informed about relevant regional regulations and taking necessary actions.
  • Align HR initiatives with the organization's overall strategy and business objectives by collaborating with regional team leaders to develop comprehensive action plans for effective execution. Ensure HR programs and initiatives effectively support the organization's goals.
  • Cultivate a work environment that motivates and engages employees, leading to increased satisfaction, retention, and productivity. Establish robust working relationships across all levels of the organization and provide guidance to people leaders for resolving employee issues and concerns fairly and equitably. Proactively drive the availability of learning and development opportunities to enhance employee skills, aligning them with strategic goals.
  • Seamlessly integrate and optimize processes and technology. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze existing processes and design solutions. Provide mentorship for process improvement methodologies and technology systems. Align new tools with business needs, enhance productivity, and maximize value to support company growth.
  • Foster teamwork, inclusivity, and synergy within and across teams by developing systemic solutions for employee engagement, psychological safety, and collective problem solving. Model effective communication, cooperation, and coordination while driving innovation and outcomes through optimizing diverse perspectives.
  • Implement and manage performance evaluation systems to measure and improve employee performance. Coach and mentor leaders in setting behavioral and job-related goals, regularly evaluating and documenting progress. Ensure alignment between individual goals and organizational objectives.


Requirements


The incumbent must be able to accomplish the Essential Functions to be competent in the job. Other special requirements are noted below.


  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and HR trends.
  • Demonstrated experience in HR operations and business partnership maturity journey leadership in a player-coach role
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent work experience), Master's preferred
  • Excellent communication skills to convey HR concepts and address concerns.
  • 12+ years of experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, and functional organizations.
  • Change management experience to navigate workplace dynamics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Adaptability to respond to changing business needs and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and business operations.
  • Ethical and trustworthy behavior in handling sensitive information.
  • Cross-cultural competence for understanding diverse perspectives.
  • Change management experience.
  • Business acumen to contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities for data-driven decision-making.
  • Strategic thinking to align HR initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Collaboration skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire and guide the HR team.
  • 12+ years of progressive HR/ organizational development experience; 5+ years as a manager
  • Expertise in recruitment, assessment, selection, including global exposure.


Work Conditions: Blend of on-the-floor/in the office activities – regular gemba within manufacturing and support areas as part of daily, weekly, monthly listening cadence.


Travel Demands: Up to 20%; intercontinental travel is required


Salary Range: $141,000-$179,000

Dymax takes the compensation of its employees very seriously and considers several factors when determining the total compensation package including but not limited to location, market range, skills, knowledge, experience, and abilities. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Dymax salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range. The range listed is just one component of Dymax’s total compensation packages for employees.
