Position: Human Resource Consultant
Unit: Human Resources
Duty Station: Home-based
Duration: 6 months with probability of extension
UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. The Human Resources (HR) section is responsible for the timely, accurate, equitable, effective and efficient delivery of all HR management services, i.e., strategic staff planning, recruitment, staff administration, organizational design, workplace relations, performance management and learning and career development. The HR section is also responsible for the continuous development and improvement in HR operations, policies, and methods that ensure the alignment with UN Women evolving business needs. UN Women also provides advisory support to the Executive Director in the formulation and implementation of UN Women's overall mission, strategy and plans of actions.
Reporting to the Human Resource Associate, the HR Consultant will work on advising clients under the designated portfolio, on consultant recruitment processes and provide support on administrative and transactional operations-related-matters. The consultant will work closely with relevant members of the HR Team on maintaining data and handling clients’ requests during surge periods.
Duties and Responsibilities
(Current Consultant Portfolio)
- Compile, analyze and report on data on the affiliate personnel and other HR related reporting;
- Maintain consultant Intranet page in compliance with the recommendations set forth in by the internal audit to ensure up to date information and seamless use by clients;
- Provide recruitment guidance to hiring managers and focal persons;
- Provide support to HRBPs/Regional OMs for consultant contract issuance/review and assist with troubleshooting when required;
- Maintain existing dashboards and visualize data for the Intranet and for internal communications and varied HR reports;
- Draft contracts and payment forms;
- Review submissions inclusive of TORs and provide assessment of recruitment criteria;
Deliverables:
- Maintain dashboard matrixes and produce reports for data management
- Develop and draft the contents of the HR consultant Management Intranet page
- Timely review and feedback to clients on submissions for consultant contracts to ensure comprehensive and complete
- Produce contracts and payment forms during expected surge periods

Required Skills and Experience
- At least 6 years of experience working as an HR professional in international organizations/corporate settings
- Experience in drafting/interpreting HR-related policies
- Experience in managing recruitment processes in a large-scale international organization is a plus
- Experience working with UN Consultant portfolio highly desirable
- Completion of a secondary degree is required, a first-level university degree in Administration, Human Resources or other related area preferred.
- Experience working in the UN system is an asset
