Job Description

Job Summary

This is a great opportunity for those with human resource knowledge looking to expand their skill set and grow with our team. In this support role you will have the opportunity to travel to iconic destinations while staying at our beautiful properties. The HR Generalist provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department in all functions and will serve as additional support for accounting when needed. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payroll for all employees. In this role, you'll gain hands on experience in recruitment, employee/labor relations, compensation, benefits, payroll, and training. Primary Job Duties

  • Review payroll batch for approval by accounting and human resources
  • Provide assistance in administering employee benefit programs and worker's compensation plans
  • Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities
  • Record data for each employee, including addresses, weekly earnings, absences, supervisory reports on performance, and dates of and reasons of terminations
  • Conducts or aquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, and other professional training
  • Prepare recruitment postings, establishes and maintains recruitment files, prepares related correspondence for scheduled interviews, offers, and orientations
  • Schedule and coordinate training activities, benefits enrollment, exit interviews, and support employee programs
  • Assists in recruitment, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions
  • Assist in employee onboarding and orientation
  • Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Transmit payroll and distribute reports as required to department managers, i.e. missing punch reports, meal penalty reports etc.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety;
  • Compile payroll information from site level teams for batch entry
  • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants
  • Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Hospitality or related area of concentration
  • At least two years in Human Resources, preferably in a generalist role
  • Any combination of education and experience
  • Prior ADP Workforce Now payroll experience a plus
  • Experience supporting a diverse employee population with timely and courteous follow up
