About the role:


We are looking for a talented and experienced HR Director to join our team. This newly developed role will build out programs and lead initiatives that enhance our People First Culture and support a fair and equitable environment for all employees. The HR Director, People Programs, and Impact Initiatives will design and manage programs across various areas of HR including Recruiting/Retention, DEI/Belonging, Hybrid Work/Employee well-being, and Growth/Development to name a few. The objective of this role is to deliver measurable and lasting impact for OUAI employees and to tie initiatives back to People and business strategy. You’ll go deep into our existing programs to uncover opportunities and must possess both empathy and analytical skills to deliver well-thought-out, value- add programs. The HR Director, People Programs and Impact Initiatives will be viewed as a key People leader and must be able to identify gaps, design plans and drive change. This role reports to the VP, of HR and will work closely with OUAI’s HR Team, cross-functional partnerships, and stakeholders


Requirements


What you’ll do:


  • Understand our employer brand DNA and vibe to determine how to harness it for good and recommend where change could be valuable
  • Assess and understand existing People programs and business needs to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Bring best practices and external perspectives to discussions and people-related decision-making
  • Stay informed and aware of the latest trends in the HR world and determine what to apply at OUAI in order to support our continuous evolution as a People First organization
  • Determine ways to deepen employee connection and understanding of our culture codes and identify opportunities to weave them into all that we do. Ensure our program choices and decisions align with our culture codes
  • Develop and maintain HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of People Programs and Initiatives
  • Create and communicate a 2-year program roadmap that enables OUAI to achieve its People strategy
  • Culture codes you’ll leverage most: We Ask Questions to Find the Best Answers + We Aren’t Afraid to Go First
  • Build connection and rapport with employees to have a pulse on sentiment, ensure voices are heard and gain a better idea of what programs will have the most impact


What you'll bring:


  • Solid HR foundation: HR Generalist experience with Knowledge of Labor Laws
  • Ability to function well in fast-paced environments where processes exist in some areas and not in others
  • Strong Project Management skills able to build and meet timelines
  • Experience analyzing and leveraging data to design compelling programs
  • Demonstrated experience in developing collaborative relationships with employees at all levels including the ability to influence decision-makers
  • This role is based in Los Angeles, a hybrid opportunity
  • Experience working in a growing global business a plus
  • High ethics, integrity, and confidentiality
  • Prior experience partnering with business functions to roll out programs, including DEI initiatives, that have a measurable impact
  • Ability to listen, consider other points of view, and bring perspective, vision, and insights
  • 8+ years of relevant HR experience, ideally in progressive and modern work environments
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills able to engage multi-generational audiences
  • Great facilitation and presentation skills
