Job Description

Overview

At Frito-Lay, a division of PepsiCo, our HR professionals play an integral part of ensuring that we have prepared and capable team members who can deliver FUN FOODS to our customers. Being a part of the HR team at Frito-Lay requires that you help create a culture which encourages teamwork and ownership of the business results.This position will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support for Frito Lay’s Supply Chain location in Denver, CO. The work will include supporting managers and employees in the use and application of PepsiCo HR systems and tools; maintaining regular HR files; responding to inquiries related to policies, performance management, compensation processes, benefits and payroll; providing regular and ad-hoc reporting and analytics in support of core people processes; and leading key compliance processes for the Site. The person in this role will support approx. 500 frontline employees and managers and will collaborate and interface with cross-functional partners, such as payroll, safety, and talent acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Discipline Tracking owner – data entry for disciplines and record keeping employee files
  • Provide employees and managers support with HR transactions.
  • Support HR team on critical projects and through ownership and maintaining HR systems.
  • Manage labor law postings, HR info on plant boards/all plant policies & updates on plant boards
  • My Access kiosk owner
  • Full ownership of job bidding process (job bid tracking, posting, award, executing movements in SAP, etc.)
  • Support employees in manufacturing and warehouse environment with questions or concerns.
  • Full ownership of hourly onboarding process (maintaining hourly job postings, processing background checks, hiring into SAP, onboarding training onsite, preparing and filing all paperwork, etc.)
  • Benefits resource for the plant. Coordinate annual meetings, and act as liaison between Fidelity and employee for questions or issues.
  • Act as liaison between employees and third-party service providers to answer questions and resolve issues.
  • Process retirements/retiree issues with retiree center
  • Maintain filing and record systems electronically and paper.
  • Engage and lead work force through Diversity, Engagement and Inclusion and Healthy Living activities
  • Manage employee data tracking systems and trackers
  • Process invoices as needed
  • Coordinate new salaried employee templates/benefits overview & paperwork/process to corporate
  • Site resource for unemployment claims
  • HR SAP Administrator – EE hourly rates/correct all systems/EE job changes
  • Maintain I 9’s and self-identification forms for all employees/maintain for audit
  • Other duties as assigned
Compensation and Benefits:
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $44,000 -$63 ,200 based on a full-time schedule
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • PC skills: Word for Windows, Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-starter, with good organizational skills, and detail oriented.
  • Previous experience in a unionized environment a plus
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Ability/Flexibility to work nonstandard hours, as needed
  • Ability to multi-task and manage through competing priorities
  • Ability to handle extremely sensitive and business confidential information
  • Prior HR experience preferred
  • Approachable & willing to help others
  • Must be able to make sound decisions with a high level of confidence
