You will serve as an analytic resource and implementor for human resources programs. A variety of employee services programs are delivered and coordinated by this position including recruitment, employment records, and benefits. Work involves extensive public contact handling complaints, answering questions, providing information, or directing employees and clients to appropriate places for issues involved. Judgment, initiative, tact, and confidentiality are essential for the performance of duties. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Regional Council’s Assistant Director and is evaluated through periodic conferences, observation of results achieved, and review of records, reports, and files. This position requires a high degree of trust and confidentiality, independent judgment, initiative, and reliability in all aspects of the role. Job posting will remain open until filled.
Essential Duties and Tasks:
- Administers and maintains the data for the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Administers and provides analytic review for planned, periodic salary increases and other Human Resources actions.
- Serves as technical support for employees and human resources programs and responds to a variety of public questions regarding human resources processes, activities and routine actions; researches procedure for previous actions and precedents; answers questions and provides information and/or directs staff or applicant to appropriate resource or service.
- Conducts employee orientations and completes the on-boarding processes.
- Determines training needs and plans; and implement necessary resources to meet these needs and improve productivity of employees.
- Develops and implements a detailed personnel records system concerning employee classification, pay, deductions, length of service leave, retirement, worker’s compensation, and other benefits.
- Researches new or revised benefits programs or related personnel programs to meet changing needs; recommends changes in policies and programs.
- Performs related duties as required.
