Business Technology Analyst (Remote Opportunity)

This position will support the Enterprise Service Management application, development process, and projects related to expanding the use of the Enterprise Service Management solution across UM System. The Enterprise Service Management application is the university’s ticketing, self-service portal, and process workflow platform. The Enterprise Service Management team is comprised of support analysts, solution developers and administrators who work together to support, maintain, and deliver new functionality to enable business success in administrative functions, academics, and research.
Specifically this position will participate in a support rotation to triage and work operational requests and issues related to Enterprise Service Management. When not on rotation for working day to day operational issues, this position will work with departments and project teams implementing our Service Management solution to capture business requirements for various Service Management features; perform basic to moderate development in the platform to include request forms, dashboards and reports; and analyze Service Management data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement within IT.
This position does not require previous experience with a Service Management solution, but previous experience with an application development process and/or requirements gathering is strongly preferred. An ability and a desire to learn new skills in a fast-paced, self-directed environment is a must to be successful in this job. Finally, we are a highly collaborative team and continuous engagement with team members and team leaders will be expected.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience.

Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm

Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in the information technology, telecommunications industry, or related field is necessary.

Application development experience, business process design experience, ITSM support, and/or project management.
