Job Description
Part-time Human Resources Assistant needed for Seattle-based people operations consulting firm

Pay Range: $24-26/hour


Work Location: Remote (must live within 25 miles of Seattle area)


Type: Contract, 20-30 hours/week


Technology Requirements: Must provide a laptop or desktop computer with ability to use Google office software, as well as high-speed internet

As a part-timeHuman Resources Assistant, you'll play a critical role in supporting our client's consultant experience. From the beginning of an engagement, through consultant onboarding, benefits, payroll administration, and more, this position will collaborate across a dynamic, caring team of professionals dedicated to delivering an exceptional people experience.


Responsibilities


  • Oversee Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and Life Insurance portal access and management of their HRIS (BambooHR)
  • Respond to Quickbooks Time monthly locking emails and help accounting to unlock and/or edit sheets if needed
  • Support new business activities and prospect tracking
  • Assist accounting firm to prepare and mail team member 1099s to updated addresses in BambooHR and collect up to date W9s
  • Review and confirm W2 payroll using ADP bi weekly
  • Ensure a strong new hire and onboarding experience
  • Partner with outside accounting firm regarding independent consultant pay and taxes.
  • Run background checks and monitor and track compliance items such as Professional Liability Insurance and UBI numbers.
  • Administer annual census, benefits renewal and ensure proper premium allocations communicated for payroll
  • Serve as a point of contact for benefits broker, PBS and 401k administrator, COBRA, and employees who have questions that come up.
  • Administer and track consultant agreements


Qualifications&Experience


  • 2-3 years of administrative experience, with at least six months to a year of human resources or onboarding support
  • Experience with Google tools a plus!
  • Strong written communication and ability to provide succinct and accurate updates in staff meetings
  • Familiar with multi-state compliance
  • Strong follow up and ability to close the loop
  • Understands difference between 1099 employees and W2 employee
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Can juggle multiple items at the same time and prioritize based on HR experience
  • Familiar with HRIS systems and electronic document tools
