JOB PROFILE
JOB TITLE: Hospitality and Events Coordinator – Hall des Lumières
ORGANIZATION: This role reports to the Director of Hospitality and Events of the Hall des Lumières
MISSION: As the Hospitality and Events Manager, you will work within all aspects of the events department, including, but not limited to operations management, vendor relations, research and development, venue planning, and client outreach.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
●Word closely with venue partners to ensure seamless client experience
●Develop and maintain SOPs
●Research and pitch new event ideas that support the strategy and engage with consumers and clients
●Build industry and business knowledge
●Responsible for reporting on post-event feedback
●Create and maintain planning documents, schedules and operational obligations
●Represent front of house management with hospitable spirit
●Lead venue tours to potential clients
●Work closely with Audio Visual and Facilities department as related to events
●Create sales and operational documents for events department
●Maintain hospitality calendar as related to all teams
●Play a strong role in weekly event meetings
●Will be responsible for overseeing numerous third-party vendors including caterers, AV, décor, and event collateral
●Weekly outreach to potential venue clients
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
●Hospitality Driven
●Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
●Refined verbal and written communication skills
●Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
● Experience in Allseated, Canva, and Tripleseat is a plus
●Ability to work within a team or independently
●Extremely detail oriented and organized
●Must be flexible to non traditional hours: occasional nights and weekends
Education & Formal Training
●Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or relevant degree
●1-5 years of event management or relevant hospitality field
Experience
●Experience in Catering/Food + Beverage is a plus
●Experience in marketing and sales is a plus
●Experience in operations/retail is a plus
●Interest in arts and culture is a plus
