Horticulturlist/Botanist Project Manager Trainee

Lead Gardener / Project Management Assistant

What we are looking for:

• At least 4 dedicated home office/client on-site days a week (Approx 20-30 hrs)
• Assist with mulching and bed prep for planting
• Planting plants on installation days
• Assist with ordering of plants and other materials and keeping Salesforce up to date
• 60/40 Landscaping Work/Office Work
• Assist with booking initial consultations - Initial email intake, and correspondence in order to schedule consultation dates using calendar invites and scheduling phone call appointments for Julia via email
• Email correspondence with clients, contractors and suppliers
• Keep plant inventory list up to date on-line on Drive
• Managing Quickbooks - assisting with proposals and cost estimates on Google spreadsheets/Excel - transferring information from spreadsheets to Quickbooks for sending to clients
• Care of plants in nursery inventory/ learn plants to be used in projects
• Assist Owner in organizing and managing scheduling SG associates/gardeners for planting and weeding days
• Ongoing education relevant to important aspects of eco-functional gardening is strongly encouraged. We often attend webinars and conferences offered through Wild Ones and the Ecological Landscape Alliance
• Assist in managing task lists and priorities using Salesforce
• Qualifications in horticulture, botany or restoration work a big plus!
• Familiarity with Google calendars for managing work and consultation scheduling
