Position: Brand Manager
Reports to: Senior Director of Marketing
Location: Remote- Waukegan, Illinois, about 40 miles north of Chicago’s Loop
Position Summary:
In this role, you are leading the consumer facing expression of the Nielsen-Massey brand.You will be responsible for extracting insights from company, consumer, category, and media data to develop & execute marketing campaigns that breakthrough the noise and deliver results. Nielsen-Massey has built an exceptional and motivated cross-functional team with high ambitions for what this brand can become. Key Responsibilities:
ØAgency Relationship Management: Effectively manage agency resources to ensure campaign plans are effective, efficient, and aligned to deliver brand objectives.
ØCampaign Strategy: Develop the direction and execute marketing campaign plans that are built using company, consumer, and category dynamics to deliver brand and financial objectives.
ØCampaign Media Strategy: Lead the direction for audience targeting, media channel selection, and KPI settingthroughout the funnel. Closely monitor performance measurement and proactively identify optimization opportunities for agency partners as needed in order to achieve brand goals.
ØCampaign Creative Content Strategy: Lead the direction and execution of annual campaign plans across all platforms, including our owned platforms, using brand, media, and consumer data.
ØBusiness Analytics: Turn category, consumer, and media data into insights that drive actionable recommendations across media platforms, initiatives, tactics, audience targeting, and campaign strategy.
ØBrand Proposition/Expression: Refine brand expression by leveraging consumer insights gained via research, campaign data, and available consumer/market data.
ØPackaging Design & Shelf Presence: Improve the shelf presence of existing items through insight based packaging solutions.
ØShopper Marketing: Work closely with sales teams, brokers, and customer teams to develop and execute volume driving programs that maximize ROI.
ØBudget Management: Manage campaign budget for efficient and effective spend
Knowledge and Characteristics:
MUSTS:
ØStrategic Do-er with an entrepreneurial spirit that is willing to get their hands dirty
ØMBA or equal experience preferred
Ø4 years relevant marketing experience (P&L, develop & execute brand strategy)
ØBudget ownership, with P&L ownership preferred
ØAgency leadership
ØCross-functional leadership
ØStrong Analytical and strategic thinking
ØFamiliar with Nielsen or IRI
ØAudience target development
ØStrong communication and presentation skills
ØStrong storytelling
ØHighly motivated, high energy
ØAble to work in a fast paced environment
ØDemonstrated ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally in a global business environment
ØPrefers managing in a collaborative, action-oriented culture in which the free exchange of ideas and information is encouraged and expected
