Key Responsibilities
Safely and securely transport patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the process.
Utilize wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to transport patients in a timely and efficient manner.
Demonstrate proficiency in transporting patients of all age groups, maintaining a high level of competence and professionalism.
Ensure the safe and accurate transport of patients to their designated destinations, using the requested equipment as needed.
Maintain effective communication with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians, and reception and dispatch teams.
Attend to the comfort of patients by being attentive, offering blankets, and respecting their modesty. Engage in appropriate conversations that uplift and support patients.
Immediately report any signs of patient distress or equipment malfunction to the nursing staff for prompt intervention.
Take responsibility for equipment maintenance and promptly report any issues requiring repairs.
Adhere to regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO guidelines, ensuring compliance at all times.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient rights as outlined in our HIPAA policies and procedures.
Willingness to undertake other duties as assigned, contributing to the smooth functioning of the team and organization.
