About Our Client
My client is a company that focuses on food manufacturing. They focus on the bakery side of food and ensure that all products are made from the best ingredients.

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Collaborate with bakery personnel to identify and address specific health and safety concerns, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Stay updated on relevant health and safety regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends in bakery operations.
• Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures specific to bakery operations, in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety programs, making necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and make recommendations for corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, near misses, and safety-related data. Analyze trends and develop strategies to reduce future incidents.
• Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external audits and inspections related to health and safety.
• Coordinate and conduct regular safety meetings, training sessions, and drills for bakery staff to enhance safety awareness and knowledge.
• Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to ensure that health and safety requirements are integrated into operational processes and projects.

The Successful Applicant

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively train and educate employees at all levels.
• Proven ability to develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Proficient in using safety management systems and software.
• Must be Bilingual Spanish
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly those specific to food manufacturing and bakery processes.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
• 3+ years of experience as a Health and Safety Coordinator or similar role in the food manufacturing industry
• Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures related to bakery operations.
