Job Description
Noya is reversing climate change by removing CO2 from the atmosphere. We’re a scrappy team of engineers, scientists, and operators taking on the biggest problem anybody could be working on. We’ve developed a process that leverages abundant materials to remove CO2 directly from the air with dramatically lower capital and operating expenses than other approaches.
YOUR MISSION IN THIS ROLE
This role is fundamental to the long-term success of our mission. Your program management expertise will help you shepherd our first commercial installation into existence.
As Head of Program Management at Noya, you will work on a multidisciplinary team. You’ll work with our Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Chemical Engineers, and Scientists, as well as building code consultants and key suppliers, to take our Direct Air Capture approach from our Noya HQ pilot to a commercial installation. You’ll lead us in planning all the way through to implementation, while also helping us figure out how to do so more efficiently for each subsequent installation. In addition to all the fun that will be involved in getting our first commercial carbon vacuum live, you’ll also have your hand in many different aspects of our Operations. “Head of Program Management” will be your title, but you’ll have lots of different internal and external asks made of you. There will never be a dull day!
And on top of all that, you will dive head-first into a sea of future potential full of unimaginable growth opportunities. Ultimately, we are looking for a curious operator who wants to help solidify a bright future for all of humanity.
What You’ll Do
  • Take responsibility for scaling the program management function as needed
  • Track costs to ensure delivery on-time and on-budget
  • Create a reliable process for program reviews, prioritization, decision-making, and resource allocation
  • Establish program roadmaps for product development and commercialization with collective buy-in
  • Implement program management tool across company
  • Deliver program roadmaps on time and on budget
  • Manage resources needed to get us to pilot launch, jumping in as needed to talk to suppliers and make sure parts are arriving on time
  • Coordinate timelines across internal and external stakeholders to ensure we’re executing swiftly and avoiding bottlenecks
  • Troubleshoot implementation issues as they arise
  • Hold the internal and external stakeholders accountable to deadlines and budgets
  • Identify key program risks associated with timing, costs, resourcing, or other key program metrics, and build plans to effectively track and mitigate them
What We’re Looking For
  • Ability to communicate our process to stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge
  • Hands-on experience managing complex projects and tracking costs, resources, and timelines
  • Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or other technical experience (undergrad or professional)
  • Ability to execute calmly under the high pressures of a fast-moving, complex project
  • 6+ years of experience in program management
  • Comfort in shifting seamlessly between tools and communication methods for displaying progress and outstanding items on projects
Benefits You Can Expect
  • The opportunity to work towards an impactful mission in the climate space
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Amazing workplace to build first-of-a-kind Direct Air Capture technology, close to Dogpatch coffee shops and restaurants
  • Blue Shield and Kaiser medical plans, plus 100% employer-sponsored dental, vision, life and LTD coverage
  • PTO including the week off between Christmas and New Years
  • Healthy snacks and lunch from local restaurants
  • Generous stock option compensation
