About The Role:

Panasonic’s new division, PanasonicWELL, is hiring for a Head of Platform Program Management (AI, Data, IoT and Infrastructure). As the Head of Platform Program Management, you will report to the VP of Program Management for PanasonicWELL. The PanasonicWELL division was created in April 2023 to ideate, incubate, and scale new ventures inside Panasonic while building a comprehensive AI/Data/IoT Platform exposing “everything as a service”. It is a growing team of 250+ employees in the US, Japan, and India, intent on delivering new growth opportunities in health and wellness for Panasonic.

We are seeking a strategic business and technical program management leader who will work with leaders across the company, designers, product managers, frontend, and backend engineers to build an AI powered data platform from the ground-up, exposing valuable Panasonic services and data to internal and external consumers. You need to be comfortable with ambiguity and be able to provide structure and leadership with limited direction. In addition to having mastered the fundamentals, you need to be hands-on in creating processes for a dynamic, fast-moving, and agile environment building high quality, high performance, and scalable AI, IoT and Data solutions based on a multi-tenant Cloud Infrastructure. You will be expected to execute management in ensuring all teams are effective and efficient in execution.

PanasonicWELL is able to employ individuals who reside in (or that are willing to relocate to) the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.

What You’ll Get To Do:

• Participate and facilitate market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends and customer preferences.
• Evaluate and select external vendors or partners when needed.
• Manage program budgets and vendor and internal resource allocations.
• Comfortable with offshore teams and vendors.
• Present project status updates and key metrics to stakeholders and senior management.
• Help make and manage informed business and technical decisions and manage risks as they arise.
• Foster communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders across Panasonic organizations.
• Coordinate with Business and Product leaders across Panasonic to finalize and revise product roadmap, participate in AI, Data and IoT product vision, ensure product requirements creation and strategic alignment.
• Manage timelines, resources, and technical feasibility when required.
• Optimize resource allocation, manage priorities for maximum efficiency and deliverables.
• Drive process improvements and best practices in AI, IoT, Data management and Infrastructure.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, possessing deep knowledge of AI technologies, data processing pipelines, machine learning algorithms, cloud computing and software infrastructure.
• Coordinate and orchestrate matrixed resources including internal and external resource pools, and those borrowed from other areas, e.g., Design, Engineering.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project plans.
• Lead a Program Management team driving AI, Data, IoT and Infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Maintain expertise in AI and Machine Learning, IoT and the latest Cloud technologies and their industry applications.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, communicate potential issues for timely resolution.

What You’ll Bring:

• Demonstrates critical thinking capabilities with strong attention to detail.
• Self-starting, ambitious, focused, and self-sufficient.
• 10+ years of business and technical program and project management in software development with AI, Data, IoT and Infrastructure backgrounds.
• Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles and constant change remains flexible and calm when facing uncertainty.
• Has the ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems both technical and processes.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Strong program and people leadership and communication skills, able to navigate cross-functional teams through complex multi-phased technology delivery and systemic adoption.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies, machine learning concepts, IoT and data management practices. Experience with big data platforms, cloud computing, and data engineering is highly desirable.
• Experience in working with cloud-based platforms and services.
• Ability to travel internationally.
• Proven expertise in managing multiple programs simultaneously, using Agile methodologies, and employing project management tools and techniques.
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Business or Related Field, or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of Project Management tools including but not limited to JIRA, Smartsheet etc.
