Manager Of It Infrastructure

Responsibilities:

• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in IT infrastructure technologies and make recommendations for their adoption as appropriate.
• Ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of the IT infrastructure to meet the needs of the organization and support its growth.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the IT team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and end-users, to understand their IT infrastructure needs and deliver solutions accordingly.
• Monitor and analyze infrastructure performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements to optimize efficiency and reliability.
• Manage vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts, evaluating service level agreements (SLAs), and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Implement and enforce IT infrastructure policies, procedures, and controls to ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Lead a team of IT professionals responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and data centers.
• Prepare and present regular reports and updates on IT infrastructure performance, projects, and initiatives to senior management.
• Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources and adherence to financial goals.
• Oversee server infrastructure, including virtualization, cloud services, and server hardware/software upgrades, to ensure optimal performance and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess technology needs, and provide recommendations for infrastructure enhancements and investments.
• Develop and execute the strategic vision for the organization's IT infrastructure, aligning it with business goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize system downtime and data loss.
• Plan, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks, while adhering to industry best practices and security standards.

Requirements:

• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and management tools to ensure the availability and performance of systems.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including network architecture, server administration, virtualization, cloud computing, and data storage.
• Relevant certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, or VCP, are a plus.
• Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access control mechanisms.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
• Proven work experience in IT infrastructure management, including networks, servers, storage, and data centers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of IT professionals.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding practical and effective solutions.
