We’re looking for a Head of Operations to join the Social Impact and Philanthropy, US team with a close working relationship and matrix to the Global Social Impact COO office to provide high-quality deliverables including but not limited to:

• Manage department budget planning and tracking; oversee budget and grants remittance process to ensure timely and accurate payments
• Lead execution of Community Impact reporting requirements and requests
• Manage a full-time Community Impact Operations Analyst
• Partner with Community Impact program managers to effectively operationalize grants management and impact reporting
• Oversee end-to-end operations of large-scale employee giving programs, corporate charitable contributions, and grants management including managing due diligence, risk and controls
• Serve as main liaison with Global Social Impact COO office, Finance, Compliance, and other internal partners to ensure governance of firm policies, mitigate operational risk; serve as point person on record retention requirements and audit/compliance reviews
• Serving as lead project manager on the design and set up of entities in the US market, potentially including a Donor-Advised Fund and/or a separate private or public not-for-profit foundation to facilitate client donations/giving
• Manage relationship with vendors and entity partners to enhance and optimize processes

You’ll be working on the Social Impact and Philanthropy, US team based in the New York City office (office-based role, hybrid) as well as with the Global Social Impact COO office.

You have:

• Demonstrated track record of success managing large-scale, complex operations within national corporate or philanthropic organization
• Ability to effectively partner with control function (tax, risk, legal, compliance) and stakeholders to drive forward projects
• Strong budget management skills, analytical and problem solving acumen
• Knowledge of corporate giving programs and grants management best practices
• Superior work ethic and a willingness to work in a high demand environment
• Capacity to quickly climb the learning curve of administrative procedures, policies and operations
• Expertise in US charity and not-for-profit organization, governance, regulation and infrastructure
• 10+ years’ project management experience in a fast-paced, global organization, preferably within financial services; Bachelor’s degree in related field

• Team focused, have a flexibility working style, proactively seek solutions and a ‘get things done’ mentality
• Data driven and experienced in utilizing Excel and software to track and analyze data
• Detail-oriented, organized and able to set priorities and work in a self-directed fashion
• Excellent in both written and oral communication; comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels

CA, CO, WA and NY based roles: The salary range for this role is $147,000 to $182,000 based on experience, education, and skill level. This role may be eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. For benefits information: ubs.com/usbenefits.
